This is a mixture of footage I had sitting around. The good footage is by the super talented Sean Fannin. The in-car shots are by me, on a day when a Cobra almost messed up my day.

Love this.. now I just need a garage You didn’t go into anything like wiring in the garage. Do you have a ton of outlets? Do you have 220v for your Welder? That would be awesome if he did a revisit in 2024

Jack, thank you for this video and for your helpful advice when I met you last month. I was the guy with the blue 2009 911S. As you may recall, my very first lap was 1:55, but I dropped 2-3 seconds per lap, ending at 1:39 by the end of my first session. The second session was a string of 1:36s. I consolidated in the 1:36s and 1:37s during my third and fourth sessions. Then, in my fifth and final session, I really went to work on T8/T9 and brought my times down into the 1:34s. Not bad for just one day! I was very happy with the progression of my day and I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you, again.

If I use my stock 2000 Honda ex hatchback I don’t have to brake for the is track lol since I can only hit 105 top speed..so if only have to let go of the throttle or just brake a little

The turns carry the speed. Carrying the momentum is key. Nonetheless, goes to show that skill, experience counts just as much. Nothing to be ashamed of. Like, David slaying Goliath, well done! I always support the underdog@ Aloha! 🤙🙂🤙

I raced motorcycles there and this is 99% of the lines and throttle usage I take. As bike riders, we tend to be a bit picky about lines as the cars can dig some big grooves and we don't want to drive in them. Typically in turn 1. Turn 8 really takes a bit of time to get comfortable with on some street bikes. The suspension is often not stiff enough and biker will be leaned over as far as they can go at full speed and then start hitting the frame on the track. This will make you wish you brought your brown leathers. Spot on about the exit of 8 and driving hard through the apex of 9.

Thank You. Thank You. I watched this video numerous times before going to Willow Springs for the first time. I went yesterday and within two laps I had your line down. I did everything you suggested and it was smooth like butter. Next time I will get higher speeds with some new Cup or 888 tires for my 2103 C6 Grand Sport. My street Pilot sport 4s do well but I need more grip for that track. Thanks again and keep the videos coming.

After his complaints I was laughing when he said he has downforce to carry 160 through turn 8. IF you are driving a "downforce car" that can do 163 in 8 you should be able to figure this stuff out WAY better than they seem to be able to do. I really think they are seriously over their head in that much of a car and they are apt to hurt themselves if they start testing the car's actual limits. At least they acknowledge that there isn't any real visual queues along the track.
